Bang launch new brand identity for James Robinson
James Robinson, a global leader in the speciality chemical industry, have launched their new brand in the UK, Germany and India.
Bang Marketing were appointed in late 2006 to begin work on rebranding the company ahead of their move to new UK headquarters.
After spending 167 years at their old Huddersfield site, James Robinson were looking for a brand that was symbolic of the exciting changes ahead.
An image of a chameleon plays the central role in the company's new identity, something that Matt Skelland, Director at Bang Marketing felt was particularly appropriate to James Robinson.
"The chameleon concept aims to communicate that the company is going through a significant period of change, one which points to an extremely exciting future".
"It is also the perfect visual representation of the company's core business – the development, manufacture and supply of colour change chemicals".
The project was overseen by James Robinson's new Managing Director, Dr. Richard Smith, who said "The re-brand is a sign of the bright future ahead for our company".
"We hope the brand and our new headquaters will keep James Robinson at the forefront of the speciailty chemicals industry for years to come".
This completes a succesful 12 months for James Robinson, which also saw them collect the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation Category.
The award was given in recognition of James Robinson's work in developing a range of photochromic dyes, which are applied to light-reactive spectacle lenses, toys and a range of other products.
James Robinson are also a supplier of hair dye intermediates to some of the world's best known brands. It is estimated that one in three people using hair dyes use a James Robinson hair dye intermediate.
