Bang selected by Wyre Borough Council for Strategic Campaign

Following a tough competitive tendering process Bang Marketing have been selected to develop a strategic marketing campaign for Wyre Borough Council.

Bang will be working closely with the Leisure, Cultural and Tourist Services Department on their brand, marketing research and core documentation.

The Borough of Wyre lies in North West Lancashire, nestled between Blackpool and the Forest of Bowland.

Part of Bang's work will be to help draw tourists to the Borough's fantastic un-spoilt coastline, and spectacular countryside.

Chris Garratt, Strategic Marketing Manager at Bang explained "Our role is to unleash Wyre's potential, focussing on the stronger brands such as Fleetwood, Poulton-Le-Fylde and the Forest of Bowland that sit within its boundaries".

Beyond this, Bang will help promote the Department's other services, encouraging greater visitor numbers to the numerous theatres, cultural attractions and sports facilities.

He added, "Our work will encourage the adoption of some marketing techniques and tools that are used with great success in more commercially focused environments. Our aim is to deliver a campaign that will put Wyre, and its numerous assets, firmly on the map".

Tom Pridmore, Head of Service for the Leisure, Cultural and Tourist Services for Wyre Borough Council said "We are delighted to be working with Bang, we aim to fully utilise their customer orientated experience to increase participation in our services.

"We want to take a fresh look at all our marketing activity, both for visitors and the local community and we are confident that Bang will bring new ideas based from their extensive experience with the private and public sector clients. "
