Material for the campaign

In the first quarter of 2006 Bang Marketing were appointed to work on a groundbreaking project for cutting-edge housing association Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH).

According to a 2005 Audit Commission report, KNH are one of the best housing associations in the UK. As a result of this focus on excellence, their expectations of external suppliers are extremely high.

After a succesful pitch, Bang were commissioned to work as the marketing partner on KNH's groundbreaking reward scheme. KNH are the first association in the UK to develop their own unique loyalty scheme for their 20,000 plus residents.

The marketing strategy proposed by Bang was selected ahead of rival bids as it not only matched the ambition shown by KNH, but it also provided a rational, achievable no-nonsense solution.

Bang's integrated approach combined commercial and social marketing methods. Before launching the scheme Bang generated significant levels of commercial sponsorship.

A series of 'behavioural goals' were then set for tenants. The campaign aimed to maintain positive behaviour patterns and reduce breaches of tenancy through rewards and incentives. Initial results from the campaign will be gathered in 2007, and early indications suggest that the response will be extremely positive.
