Case Studies
After witnessing the impressive results generated by the West Yorkshire Police Bar Code initiative in 2007, Humberside Police approached Bang Marketing to help them reduce violent crime and alcohol related crime and disorder.
Bang worked closely with the Police and Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership to develop a campaign that combined highly-effective marketing activity with interventions and policy. After analysing crime trends, hot-spots emerged in Hull City Centre, central deprived wards, and surrounding public spaces. Bang developed a high-profile campaign brand with three brand-extensions allowing messages to be tailored towards specific locations and crime types.
The ‘Safe in the City' campaign launched in late 2007. The campaign's stunning visuals were shot over three days in five locations, using over ten models to ensure the campaign communicated directly with the desired target audiences. In addition to planned field marketing activity in the run-up to Christmas, Safe in the City executions were splashed across over twenty 48 and 96 sheet billboards and 6 sheets throughout the city of Hull.
